“Being a 5^th Grader”

Too young to be a teen

too small to get entangled

too bright to ask questions

too shy to raise one’s hand

too distracted to see the board

too happy ever to be too sad

being a 5^th grader is a task

even though very few ask

we very well wear a mask

in summer’s play we bask

drinking water from our cask

still too shy questions to ask!
