Pastures dry and
dusting away
parched ground and
mouths
cracking and breaking
apart
months and years
without rain
withheld by a royal
decree
wherein punishment
given
perishing even the
child today
cattle, rodents, men
and women
without rain scrubs
and trees
plants and roots and
all growth
when issued by a
royal decree!
