No longer like so
long ago
when all citizen
soldiers to be
everyone hearing
freedom call
some unable to serve
but did
others cowards and
marked
patriotism and honor
bound
but that was then
long ago;
How could any today
know
draft dodgers those
found
into the colleges
they parked
under
marriage/teaching hid
disparaging freedom’s
call
hatred and jealousy
to see
only entitlements to
know!
