Awakening to attached strings
no longer my mechanical skills
belonging to a puppeteer's wills
claiming to have clipped wings;
Thus dangling without muscle
awaiting on jerking and pulling
freedoms into submission lulling
unable to fight or even to tussle;
Puppets our nation has become
our government us to overwhelm
now calling this their holy realm
having raised a generation dumb;
Awakening into today from sleep
having a future blind and weak
if for some reason I refuse to speak
thus to become a sheared sheep!
