Captains picking up their teams

too many the humiliation of last

with limited skill and put aside

unwanted but still being taken;

 

Much in this world to awaken

last chosen taking all in stride

knowing all this will be the past

someday only taken in dreams;

 

Matters not unlikely it seems

the desire to succeed a blast

time will fully confirm so abide

when the tables all are shaken;

 

Lest any think I’m ever mistaken

years upon years willing to hide

till all frustrations were trashed

making all-star teams redeems!
