tomorrows
a child or an adult
to know
forgetting having
never been
learning only the
junk tales
finding and feeding
on drugs
seeking entitlements
pelf
or standing tall and
proud
hand on your chest to
honor
saluting in a
privilege earned
watching a flag pass
by
remembering the
infamy
so long ago repeated
today?
