“Nursing
the Child”

Bringing
to the mother to nurse
eager and
hungrily to engage
cooing
and satisfying a need
how
quickly done this in love;
Nursing
the child from above
all the
commandments to heed
while
the wicked shall rage
and our
Savior they curse;
How
often deafened ears
hardened
their hearts of steel
finding
blindness in their eyes
refusing
the child for nursing;
Thus a
world found rehearsing
lost in
their fictional lies
while
the righteous do kneel
shedding
happiness’s tears!
