“Treasured Possessions”

Mistake not when of this I pen

treasured possessions not here

tangible possessions on earth

are found to rust and decay

while treasured ones eternal;

 

Keys unlocking heaven’s gate

spoken by all of the Prophet’s

found in all of the Scriptures

predicated upon worthiness

in covenants and ordinances;

 

Vows of chastity and honesty

found only in Gospel fullness

wherever pure truth is taught

by those having keys to preside

bestowed by proper authority;

 

While available to all on earth

who’s ever had a mortal body

having the chance to hear

Jesus’s Gospel taught in full

then each to believe and act;

 

Yet many called don’t listen

too much involved in toys

few who do pay attention

then again they turn away

caught up in the worldly;

 

Earthly treasures reel them

unwilling to endure to the end

thus these keys to eternities

treasured possessions to me

fall by the wayside to many!

 

(Families in the eternal realm

living with Father and Son

meeting Adam and Eve

Enoch, Moses, Abraham

and ever so many more;

 

Left alone to others pride

beguiled by men/women all

harkening to the play toys

prompted not by the reality

why they came to mortality!)
