matter his rank or age
mature beyond
childhood
younger
than the sages
willing
to give his all
while
others will give none
trusting
his family to our care
while he
goes where none dare
hear now
and understand
he was a
soldier enlisted
not for
a day or a month
not even
a year or three
but eternal
and forever
watching
your/my six
knowing
we’ll do the same
for this
soldier without name!
