That one might endure

requires years and tears

struggles and great tests

false stories/lies many

to be maligned often

strangers throwing stones

crying many insults many

while still one to endure

maturing and understanding

forgiving and forgetting

growing and thus enduring

gathering in pure thought

measured by a birthday

year by year by year

tear by tear by tear

thus years and tears

happiness in obedience

thus so we each grew

and are still so growing

molded and melted ever

now a husband – father

now a wife - mother

much to be understood

accountable/responsible

loving while others hating

caring while others care not

many years and tears ever

holding to the rod of iron

enduring and ever learning!
