Like
worms and lice and mites
ticks and
bacteria entwined all
eaten
from within and without
cancerous
and malignant too
defeating
and deflating much
destroying
all they touch
most of
all that is so true
in anger
uselessly to shout
on their
swords each to fall
turning
out happiness’s lights!
