Once long ago found beauty

unsoiled by human stain

maybe in the Garden first

fowls of the air their seen

such varieties and color

indeed the Painted Bunting

one of the most lovely

such beauty able to see!

men/women obedient always

touching caressing softly

happily without our families

believing God to live as us

promptings within for warmth

winds and rains tossing

whims of men/women

touching caressing softly

are we then like butterflies

helpless and found alone

having turned from truth

believing God to blame

for the horrors of humans

one upon another in evil

unable longer to even try

are we then butterflies

found to be swayed about?

Combinations of wind/rains

weighting down fragile winds

till without any lift found

falling to the water or ground

then as in quick-sand stuck

so small and frail caught

energy failing longer to try

found alone dead butterflies

much as the innocent mind

captured by guile of others

caught as in quick sand

unable to free themselves

into bondage of the world

unable to try any longer!

never in comparison ever

with great worth to Father

daughters and sons found

stealing our joy is satan

forcing Madison avenue

to compare everything

especially ourselves

embracing this thief

making us see our worst

compared to another’s best

what a waste and a lie

being children of Father

of great wealth always!
