Smooth words spoken today

the Sabbath Day is here

harsh words of damnation

fire/brimstone long ago

still today some of all

smooth or harsh as needed

lost is the instruction once

wherein the Savior sat-spoke

still quiet voice of explanation

making clear the Scriptures

quoting the Prophets always

unlike today the philosophy

men/women’s wisdom idle

lacking conviction of truth

only conviction of rhetoric

easily fooling so many

therefore only a very few

seeking the Savior’s lessons!
