Lest
we forget this is the day representing the resurrection of our Lord and Savior
Jesus the Christ – completing the Atonement so that ‘death’ could be removed
from those who inhabited this earth – each and every one – none excluded – with
the exception of those who through disobedience to the Commandments have found
to excluded themselves from eternal life in the Celestial Kingdom (spoken of by
Paul – and throughout the Scriptures of our returning to dwell with the Father and
the Son. This is a literal truth of the Scriptures - taught then and now by living Prophets. Too
many have taken this literal truth and re-defined it into a meaningless avenue
taken by mistake in the Scriptures – and therefore but folly in the context of
Greek Philosophy. When one doesn’t understand that the Father and the Son each
have resurrected bodies of flesh and bone and have prepared for those who’re
worthy homes (mansions) eternal with our families and loved ones if found
worthy (in obedience with all of the Commandments – and in repentance when we
fall short of the mark). Over and over in the Scriptures we are invited into
the sanctuary of the Lord – for the eternal ordinances – and so few accept the
invitation and of those who do – few live up to the covenants they make within
his House – i.e. the Holy Temple. There’s a Scripture, ”Doctrine and
Covenants 121:34 Behold, there are many called,
but few are chosen. And why are they not chosen? 35 Because
their hearts are set so much upon the things of
this world, and aspire to the honors of men, that they do not learn this
one lesson— 36 That
the rights of the priesthood are inseparably
connected with the powers of heaven, and that the powers of heaven cannot be controlled nor handled only upon the principles of righteousness.” I fervently pray all might seek to understand
the singular importance of this event – the Resurrection and Atonement of our
Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ – as represented this day in his name even
Jesus the Christ amen. c/ork
