Having friendship is special

sharing experiences together

finding likes and dislikes often

knowing someone has your ‘6’

saying a simple, ‘thank you’

sharing emotions confidential

one knows who are friends

bonds made here and before

kindred spirits of a special kind

somehow repetitive it seems

declaring ‘a week’ to remind

like our world in some denial

losing contact with something

something more important

friendship is real and truthful

eternal and engaging always

whether seeing one daily

or just once in a decade

reunions are like that

closeness of old friends

coming together jointly

remembering old times

while always being friends

even without the contact

being somehow repetitive

having friendship is special!
