"The Plan of Salvation"

Long ago and far from here there was a meeting (Grand Council) of all of the potential inhabitants of the world called Earth. We were all there – and we all voted on what’s known as the Plan of Salvation! If we didn’t vote in the affirmative of which 1/3 of the host of heaven did not – we would not be here with a physical body but would be the angels and minions of Satan. There were two proposals; 1) we’d come to earth  - be given the opportunity to choose right or wrong (without coercion) and by our choices and works we’d earn our eternal salvation – or determine which of the three spheres (Celestial; Terrestrial; or Telestial) or three degrees of glory we’d attain when completing our mortal probation. The presenter of this option concluded with saying all of the glory would be to the Father.  https://www.lds.org/topics/kingdoms-of-glory?lang=eng  2) the second option was to come to this earth – get a body and without no works, faith or choices return after our mortal probation. The presenter of the second option also added a caveat that he would get all of the glory rather than the Father. After the vote was taken 1/3 of the host of heaven were tossed out never to receive a physical body – ever – they followed after the second presenter (Satan). The rest followed after our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Let’s understand there were a lot of fence sitters who went with the majority – but still wished for the just coming here – getting a body and returning. Of these they make up a great majority of the world’s population throughout the ages. We find them all of the time either without any belief system or accepting the one of least resistance. Much of the Christian world and other major world religions fall into this category. The Scriptures have been altered – edited – changed – doing away with the idea of works in many and faith in others.

Thus my thoughts today will address what’s known as “The Plan of Salvation” as explained within the Holy Scriptures.

Voted on in courts on high

what would be our testing

which all creations needed

without beginning or ending

eternal life is continual always

beyond mortal comprehension

knowing it is true and real

too many witnesses testified

this our agreed upon testing

choices, agency, freedoms

predicated upon obedience

to all of the commandments

throughout all of the eternities!
