Dumb to
the sounds about
amid the
chaos surrounding
willing
only to hear the pleasant
ignoring
what is good for you
desiring
instead what’s evil
hearing
the soothing rhetoric
‘lo come
hear we’ll feed you’
rather than
the Father calling
having
sent his only begotten
to
remind and call each again
still
deaf only to the worldly
hearing
not the still voice!
