The small child
understands
pure, simple, truth,
reasons
wondering why others
do not
unable to voice their
questions
they simply state
what they know
going on their
toddling ways
now and then words
precious
pondering the rains
carefully
knowing they can’t go
out
seeking other
diversions
unlike the adult who
knows not
enjoying not knowing
truth
thinking they’ve all
they need
even with that not to
heed!
