There I was in space
at the outer edge far
minding my own business
happy being a small
planet
my name was Pluto
then they changed rules
striped of my role
didn’t offend anyone
apparently not PC
my name linked to male
therefore no recourse
born to be a planet
place for some to
escape
now what – nothing at
all
they may not call me
one
but I’m still a planet
a very small one sure
where people can come
to ponder and to think
away from the worldly!
