General Knox speaking to all

Patriots on display today

their road to Yorktown

waiting the British Army

instead of rousing cheers

only heard was subdued

spies and Tories all about

while yet the revolution

undecided and looking

to go either way again

showing marksmanship

firing of the small cannon

even with scattered cheers

still a new pride growing!
