Learned a lot of lessons
some very difficult too
watched a chick hatch
took special interest
almost as if my pet
fed her extra feed
(not much a little)
she was a great layer
more than any other
then one day only one
then none for a day
speaking with her
encouraging her
she failed to produce
then she was product
since I raised her
was asked to agree
tears fell yes they did
mama helped me out
and I got the legs!
