We awaken into the new day

knowing it’ll be a grinder again

facing trials and tribulations

inviting the Spirit continuously

while the worldly force it away

much like the lamb to the sheerer

we seek the refiners fire always

most times escaping unburned

others like meat in the grinders

made into ground and softened

thus each day we need to repent

knowing as we sleep this night

another grinder is being cleaned

ready to invite us in the morning!
