“Lost in the Rain”

Went to pick flowers

engulfed by the rain

first light and cooling

then increased strength

flexing muscles of fury

till torrents flowing

rivers rising quickly

mudslides-cave-ins

overwhelmed myself

unable to see or feel

chilled to the bones

finding myself alone

flowers in my hands

lost in the rain!
