Once with pride to be known

Now only a bad taste grown;

Once able to stand up alone

Now found mostly all alone;

Once of worth to most others

Now a drain on all others;

Once clean and of value

Now only found sallow;

Once with all to be sharing

Now left only as chesseparing!
