“Somewhere”

(Prelude:
Often times one hears
whispers in the
silences
then removed quickly
as if one is afraid
then hidden from all
until again venturing
peeking around a tree
((over there we hid))
and again the quiet
battlefields all the
same
carnages now removed
peaceful fields found
somewhere once there
for wars are
continuous
one seeking another’s
freedoms or treasures
even today if in
deceit
governments v.
citizens
the goals the same
some to have all
power
others simply
freedoms
while most ignorant
that any wars fought
enslaved to their
wants
regardless of the
costs!)
