“Selfless Service”

Wherein one goes forth
either in the desert or sea
seeking those who’re in need
giving no heed to the comfort
feeling and hearing the call
a still small voice prompting
presenting oneself to do
understanding Father’s will
hoeing the next row and next
never resting until all is done
awaiting the next assignment
or seeking out another’s need
selfless service given freely
often unnoticed by the many
while blessing those about
filling in as tasked to do
being as the flower’s seed
in blistering sun or chill
always found going forth!
