Endless hours of
flying high
bombing runs or
protection
sometimes air and sea
rescue
others into hostile
fire for same
unarmed or armed to
the teeth
takeoffs and landings
to make
storms, high winds or
seas
warfare does not wait
for calm
fending off attacks
from the air
other times from
anti-aircraft
flax all around and
then none
far above service
somewhere
fixed wing, rotor or
other
missions to be flown
today
as in the past and in
future
serving to protect
freedoms
knowing why and how!
