digging
pruning and pulling
weeds
shaping and forming
views
treating roughly some
about
cutting and dunging
most
preparation in the
Spring
planting and watering
all
some wanting to run
wild
others seeking to be
not
always the gardener
there
tending and
monitoring
knowing what’s best
to do
what is the most
needed
his stewardship
heeded
flourishing as
intended;
Some reject the
gardener
forsaking the garden
wall
going their own way
now
unwilling to be
pruned
or weeded, or dunged
or watered, or cut
back
rejecting the
gardener
till ravished and
worldly
unknowing fulfillment
unable thus to bloom
their seasons are
lost
their reasons
senseless
no stewardship heeded
no guidance so needed
their being distended!
