Ice filled the night
a storm raging on
piercing all in sight
strong trees swaying
many weaker broken
men and women too
finding deflections oft
wearing masks of time
pretending unobserved
different masks worn
perfecting excuses pat
as the ice in the night
each hiding the frozen
history unchanging
except by men/women
with masks of ice!
