Trying to reason of the why

we seek for a peace denied

moments of love seep within

seeing our loved ones safe

if even for this single moment

where protected from evil

they’re able to smile and play

pondering the plight of war

and if this is the reason why?

The Midnight Baseball Game has been played continuously since 1906 in Fairbanks AK in war or peace! There's a one hour delay from the sun setting and rising at which time the game begins.

Not all is wasted in death

each year in Fairbanks AK

midnight baseball is played

the sun sets and arises

within a moment of time

heard, ‘Play Ball’ clear

and again starts the game

looked for in WW2 and today

far away from homes cold

an escape from the reality

for men/women want it not

preferring warfare in truth

denying the will to live

having given their all

then assisting others

carrying the wounded

while firing all around

risking life and limb

brothers are brothers

helping each other

in the most danger

holding to their duty!

rather to defend the evil

than to praise the good

wanting not to offend

flags and music in concert

veterans and family partake

picnics and public concerts

politicians giving speeches

some out playing golf as well

marching since the beginning

armies, navies, air forces

all in ranks marching

Johnny comes marching home

others to America our home

where will we be found

with the star spangled banner

or to some other nations

symbol and thoughts?

A weekend of remembering

thinking of the heroes known

common men/women each

doing uncommon actions

seeking for the better good

within a world filled with hate

soldiers/nurses/sailors/marines

air force/coast guard/citizens

coming to the line in warfare

fighting those wanting ours

to destroy freedoms fully

thus in remembering here

those within our nations evil

traitors worse than enemy

living, eating, sharing

while with guile to destroy

main stream media there

political leaders/radicals

illegal aliens – terrorists

remembering the good

while never forgetting

those evil among us!

or Camps in Germany

forced marches Japan

always the viciousness

man’s inhumanity to man

men, women, children

each to suffer repeatedly

How sad was this week

hearing from others

hopelessness to obey

in such a wicked world

yet remember not

Jesus overcame the world

therefore we’re to have hope

each Sabbath Day to ponder

all that we’ve received

whether poor or rich

we’re all rich having mortality

the opportunity to return

to the Father and Son

hope our greatest blessing

able to become more

being obedient and faithful

throughout this life today

thus not being forfeit

giving up without trying

thus having faith in the Son

and his Atonement for us!

from the mid-1700’s till today

which wall will depend number

many fought and are unknown

sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers

sons, aunts, uncles all found

graveyards unknown to many

some unknown to all even today

many buried where they died

known to the Father and Son

these who fought and died

living the laws statutes

obedience to Commands

clean – worthy – pure

to enter the Temple

this sanctuary on earth!
