"Pushing Wrong Ways"

“Pushing Wrong Ways”

cji

3/14/18

‘Your Honor!’

and on and on

denying – lying

pointing at me

pushing – pushing

wrong – wrong

ways – ways

heating the flames

scorching the irons

inciting within

trembling in fear

not for them

but from within

unleashing pain

anger clashing

thundering skies

blackened hearts

souls vanquished

this then the who

this then the why

ask no more

you’ve asked

too much

giving nothing

taking – taking

indeed to anger

violence beyond

comprehending not

‘your honor’ …!

"A Non-Living Thing"

“A Non-Living Thing”

cji

3/13/18

Thought to be a thing

whether a snowflake

raindrop or ice or…

each have a mission

being we’re water

teardrops salty

waves to surf

allowing all living

surviving enduring

called by science

a non-living thing

tell that to Frosty

or old Jack Frost

or a child catching

one snowflake one

interesting isn’t it

a non-living thing

so all life can live!

"Tales of Skitter"

“Tales of Skitter”

cji

3/12/18

Going into the cold winds

facing danger incredible

unquenchable fire breath

tales of Skitter growing

into the shadows of light

seeking danger far away

moonlight dancing always

tales of Skitter gnawing

bouncing hail all about

bringing danger closer

freezing hell in deed

tales of Skitter galling!

"A Great Knowledge"

“A Great Knowledge”

cji

3/11/18

How long – how oft

how many – how few

a great knowledge lost

a great knowledge won

born with divine purpose

born with royal rights

either to parish forever

either to eternal salvation

rejecting or accepting

accepting or rejecting

each Sabbath Day

choices made important

choices made important!

"Faith-Hope-Charity"

“Faith-Hope-Charity”

cji

3/10/18

Gather in your chips

cards on the table

no more deals or hands

your actions – works

recorded and known

soon as your hand

the world to know

nothing hidden away

either faith hope charity

your hand to hold

or too late too late!

"Winking as They Pass By"

“Winking as they Pass By”

cji

3/9/18

In the vacuum of space

ancestors going to and fro

winking as they pass by

wanting to be found

their names recorded

dates/marriages/death

seeking to be found

then by chance there

seeking another finding

one long lost finding

great information to share

into the family now bound

as if a refreshing breath

new information imported

written correct sound

winking as they pass by

ancestor going to and fro

in the vacuum of space!

"Do The Deaf Have Ears"

“Do the Deaf have Ears”

cji

3/8/18

Do the deaf have ears

do the blind have eyes

do the mute have tongues

do the living have a brain

do their hearts beat

do their bodies function

does the world really care

does anyone know truth

yes the deaf, blind, mute

have ears/eyes/tongues

hearts do beat often

bodies function as well

then why do so many

live as if hearing nothing

seeing nothing at all

saying nothing of evil

cringing hoping for what

that there is no God

there’s no Commandments

there’s no accountability

staggers the imagination

of so many with all

ears to hear-eyes to see

tongues able to speak

wear earplugs-blinders

spewing profanity’s voice

and yet expect to live

in accordance with Gospel

while having no belief

except to be saved!

"How Many Witnesses"

“How Many Witnesses”

cji

3/6/18

Reputable men found testifying

first three and then eight more

interestingly via persecution

most of their mortal lives

none denied their testimony

while many left the Church

living in their communities

men of stature responsible

each testified till dying day

truthfulness of what …?

The Book of Mormon’s truth

recorded and never rescinded

yet more willing to believe

critics rather than these men

to their everlasting judgment!

Ether 5:4 And in the mouth of three witnesses shall these things be established; and the testimony of three, and this work, in the which shall be shown forth the power of God and also his word, of which the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost bear record—and all this shall stand as a testimony against the world at the last day.

"Unfolding"

“Unfolding”

cji

3/6/18

Catching first the rain

then the winking sun

plethora of flowers

unfolding into brilliance

much in obedience

nature to thus obey

likened to the Scriptures

when once we’re blind

then found obedient

revelations unfolding

when found righteous!

Ether 4:16 And then shall my revelations which I have caused to be written by my servant John be unfolded in the eyes of all the people. Remember, when ye see these things, ye shall know that the time is at hand that they shall be made manifest in very deed.

"Low Temps"

“Low Temps”

cji

3/5/18

Relative to where

some don’t care

snow tires to wear

fire places to share;

Low temps tonight

while moon bright

eerie the sight

bathed in white;

Below freezing yes

other places guess

time to play chess

warmly to dress!

"Eternal Understanding"

“Eternal Understanding”

cji

3/4/18

Hands stretched across alter

searching each other’s eyes

seeking the reassurance

eternal – forever – infinity

covenants made eternally

holding this visualization

then on each Sabbath Day

remembering this visualization

partaking of the Sacrament

as a oneness as a family

disparate some ways often

worldly sneaking within

causing doubt shadows

thus to remember hands

across the alter forever

eternal understanding!

"Going on a Cruise"

“Going on a Cruise”

cji

3/3/18

Up to now big ferry boats

crossing rivers too quickly

lined with other vehicles

paying the fare of one dollar

seeing lots – eagles and such

wide expanses of the river

shorelines of history seen

imagining a canoe/sail

while now getting excited

going on a cruise aboard

into the ocean as in navy

deployed for over a year

this to have a stateroom

meals served and photos

in our 70’s a new memory

excited and wondering

what really is a cruise!

"Two Waves"

“Two Waves”

cji

3/3/18

Too many think of waves

flipping and tossing at sea

rushing to the beaches

majestic and mammoth

while some bow wave

stern wave important

determined by planned

visualization from within

maximizing ones efforts

much as our coming

and then upon goings

greeting and leaving

what are our waves

bow and stern saying!

"Myriad Microadjustments"

“Myriad Microadjustments”

cji

3/2/18

Thousands/millions of parts

all inter-working as a one

tweaking here and there

fine-tuning as an instrument

playing a sweet sound

in harmony with elements

feeling within – without

measuring the beating

making needful tweaks

myriad microadjustments

as in our lives and time

coming closer to Father

His Son our Savior

becoming as a one

playing in tune their will

within and without always!
