Raising children in pens

day-care and institutions

changing diapers some

tv’s blaring in randomness

music without values true

harshness of noise loud

framing government lies

imitations for freedom

fools leading fools all

illusions of grandness

surviving in darkness!

“Cost of Ignorance”

The cost of distrust and treason

disregarding eternal reason;

The cost revolution and chaos

inviting each in the pronaois;

The cost of political unrest

is freedom’s greatest test;

The cost of ignorance foul

games of violence to allow;

Teaching intolerances’ guile

Breeding inbred hatred vile;

What will be the cost in full

A nation with no bell to toll!

“Standard Issue”

Grappling with children

the red zones of combat

real time firing and hiding

pursuit and evasion as well

survival skills growing quick

standard issue parenting

setting up the POW areas

negotiators binding treaties

‘young’ins’ and parents

coming with the issue

standard operating orders

which never seem to work

when engaging in combat

grappling in the home!

“Better Shelter”

Not much cover to be found

temperature dropping quick

ten below then to fifty below

clothing and protection lost

seeking better shelter soon

caves and fires to address

setting up reflections solid

tree to cover the mouth

allowing the air to breath

better shelter allowing each

able thus to survive cold

same is true in our lives

more knowledge and light

creating the warmth of truth

when needful quick to find!

“Moon Light Lost”

Deeper into the depths

the cutting out the light

deeper and deeper to go

into the crevices found

beyond mountain edges

pervading the valley

going into the shadows

to the canyon bottom

moon light lost to sight

moon light lost at night

deeper into the depths!

“Crystalline”

Making smoke screens darkly

driving in circles to confuse

laying smoke engulfing all

desiring confusion and guile

making muddy the definition

never wanting cleanliness

yet found in our lives all

a Gospel so crystalline true

without confusion or guile

clean and precise to learn

eternal truths to discern all

removing smoke screens all!

“Your Custom”

Bartering and trading

seeking to sell or buy

interacting with many

finding ideas invading;

Your custom desired

crossing oceans far

or just next door to be

goods are acquired!

“Snow of Death”

High in the mountains found

beautiful valleys and streams

inviting and attracting many

drawing them within to visit

tempting each longer to stay

yet only a season to know

short maybe two months

before the snow of death

embraces and thus entraps

all of those still lingering

ice and rain and then snow

blocking the passes used

high in the mountains bound!

People moving so fast

passing by daily beauty

roadside flowers missing

planters and gardens

trellis’ prolific in color

daily we can find love

within love is beauty

within beauty color

within color flowers

loveliness profound!

“Betrayed”

Without illusion of all to come

once more to be found betrayed

Greek and Roman elitist’s all

buying and selling elections

bartering for votes with guile

selling snake oil for medicine

using dung as their mouthwash

denying themselves nothing

a public dole for each of them

giving themselves benefits

the world as their table set

once to be found betrayed

without illusion of all to come!

“Loving Judgment”

Isaiah 61:8 to read and ponder

wondering where we stand

have we been honest in dealings

or found robbing to pay tithes

who have we mistreated

or beguiled with silken words

have we taken without care

hoarded and not to share

for the Lord will sit to hear

loving judgment of the wicked

and also of the shamed

judging one in their evil

rewarding others righteously!

“Trees of Righteousness”

So few in the garden engaged

fewer still in the vineyard found

instead in bars and malls to play

instead foolishly investing time

the trees of righteousness lost

abandoned to the worldly lust

feeling entitled by their being

sadly forgetting what’s to come

when none can hid away

and everyone will stand before

judgment swift and sure to feel

tasting the bitter gall of sin

some to be allowed to enter

while most having to go away!
