“The Iron Rod Bends Not”

It is straight and true
eternally and forever
however we can bend
twist, waver, resist
but the Iron Rod never;
Required is obedience
the Iron Rod God’s Law
fully obedient always
man’s law is not always
thus falling away from
truth;
Each time we remove a
hand
we leave corrosion
behind
where upon to replace
is to lacerate and
bleed
a full measure of
repentance;
And as we look back in
time
over our snow plains of
life
we see speckled blood
stains
for we are human and carnal
subject to temptations
and sin;
The Iron Rod never bens
it is straight and true
we’ve to become one with
it
eternally obedience and
true
paying full measure to
become so!
