Years ago it seems
entering the camps of
war
prison camps of slaves
once a free people the
Jews
now animals in
captivity
remembering each scene
then fluttering a
butterfly
a child to quickly
smile
a parent with a tear
falling
there is hope as sun
rising
feeling the warmth near
and it was only a
butterfly!”
