Preserving the sheep is the shepherd

he/she with their dogs or by self

keeping track of each one known

protecting them in the snow/rain

keeping away the lions and more

especially the wolves for sure

allowing one sheep to stray

going after immediately to find

wolves attack sometimes alone

then to be chased away first

thus the sheep safe and secure

only then to seek the wolf alone

for to destroy the wolf paramount

much today as the sheepdog

we’ve each to destroy the wolf

our nation is made of sheep

unknowing and unwilling most

the shepherd becoming us alone

preserving the sheep is the shepherd!
