Also Lurking Death”

With the
changing weather
tainted water
supplies too
disease
spread quickly
catching
the old and young
especially
the colder temps
there
were no bells to toll
but word
to get out for help
careful
not to spread illness
quickly
to bury and clean
time for
grief was short
as life
goes on thankfully
putting
aside lurking death!
