Part of a crowd gathering

space enough for all

chatter taking place

small talk waiting

more gather to the crowd

soon room noise louder

then it happens ‘oops’

someone yawns

then another

and another

till contagious

many are yawning

most ready for a nap

the event not begun

but contagious yawns

struck too quickly

as the crowd disperses!
