The zone was hot too
hot
helo’s trying to come
in
mortar fire with
small arms
straying the brush
line
soldiers knowing the
risks
running the maze of
fire
pilots flying in the zone
arcades coming to
life
seeing an opening
there
darting amid the
chaos
task at hand to
accomplish
never faltering never
once!
