Growth in spurts and bursts

maturing beyond one’s age

learning ever so much more

then sifting through the maze

knowing importance hesitantly

being a child yet an adult

cresting on a wave then bottom

crashing through no surface

smiling staggering stretching

again on the wave riding high

again driven to the bottom

challenges of man and boy

inter-mixing roles of space

child, parent, husband, friend

son, brother, mentor, student

mazes to unfold to understand

softly remembering of love

Father’s, parents, family

learning of this constant

while buffeted in the storms

year to year; tear to tear

each a learning experience

thus our younger son know

eagles soar ever so high

protecting family and friends

while internally maturing

via life’s challenges today

putting the past to the past

living in the today’s forever

maturing beyond one’s age

knowing Father’s will best!
