Casting long shadows

clouds overhead deep

giving no entry to light

as the masses weep;

 

Light is darkened today

projected so long ago

blindly all unable to see

despair – misery to know;

 

Covenants broken now

hedonistic living found

morals – virtue buried

righteousness bound;

 

Light is darkened today

prophesized - fulfilled

shadowing dampness

voices wailing stilled!
