So many left in an empty void

wondering of the why or what

a husband, wife, child or other

here yesterday and now gone

seeking, reaching out, crying

having missed understanding

of where we came from once

of why we’re here a short time

and of where we might be going

all wrapped up in the worldly

having forgotten the eternal

no longer taught on Sunday’s

no longer allowed in schools

un-admissible in courts of law

almost un-allowed in homes

allowing others to interpret

what the Scriptures mean

while plain and simple words

having come from on high

Prophets then and now

proclaiming truth and light

presenting peace of mind

teaching of inner coping

bringing understanding within

opening heaven’s windows

wiping away the tears softly

that marriage and families

eternal and forever to know

to obey all the Commandments

received Temple covenants

in hallowed halls sacred

only a blinking of the eye

yesterday into the eternal

husbands, wife’s, children

all progenitors/posterity

wonder in the Atonement

filling the voids with love!
