ecstasy’s screams
lost
actor’s actresses limp
music sluggishly
pounding
flames cooling in
coals
burning of the souls
fiddles no longer
sounding
as dawn removes a
pimp
terrible mourning’s
cost
vacant nighttime’s assault
as now actors wept
all in reality fades;
Relentless in selfish
pursuit
with no viable
resurrection
their own rules written
to suit
ends Act 2 of
Self-Destruction!
