Water fleeing quickly
downstream flowing
mumbling to all about
hoping some to hear
passing without reply;

Winds within the trees
going hither and yond
direction indifferent
mumbling to all about
passing without reply;

Do we hear the sound
understanding meaning
or do we just hear noise
confused as mumbling
passing without reply!
