How frequently we make excuses

we just had Christmas season

friends, family, gifts, cheer (of sorts)

yet today is again the Sabbath

time for Father’s day set aside for us

to honor – renewing covenants

understanding the meanings of love

accepting the Atonement within us

sharing, serving, accepting, doing

not just any day but every day

acknowledging the truth of Jesus

and his Father who sent him here

making no excuses for his pure love!

Soon forgotten in the cosmos

wonder and worry about much

suspecting the truth when heard

ignoring warnings and prophecies

suspicious of the Scriptures

believing those who beguile

forcing others to the edge

disclaiming and discrediting

glamor and glitz to share

bright lights and loud music

promoting violations of all

Commandments one at a time

suspicion presented as truth

soon accepted as reality!

looking over the headstones

wondering why not yours

so many giving so much

only you left to weep

friends, families, others

too many too count all

fields covered over

they died so others live

weepest thou too as I

flowing freely these tears!

Sometimes when pondering

great truths and principles

what if the whole world

believed as they one day

of the purpose of this life

what if those who profess

really did read the Scriptures

and believed them literally

what if men/women wanted

true peace and understanding

instead of passive guile words

what if this Christmas Day

one and all heard the truth

would they really hear it

what if – what if – what if

and then the rust of the day

returning gifts looking for sales

and sadly I wonder once more

what if when pondering

great truths and principles

more than .0002% believed?

Forced into the sad place

a nation in denial found

a world caring less than

even those avowed knowing

acting the part of fools

sitting in the same pews

speaking only to friends

ignoring the new and old

pretending righteousness

while bigoted and poor

heedfully found in sadness

denying others the Spirit

forcing many into hiding

forced into the sad space!

A deep sleep has embraced

allowing many to lie in slumber

needing now to awaken alive

picking up the elements of truth

putting on the armor of Father

turning towards the light bright

holding forth in covenants

binding the Commandments

obedience and awareness

understanding and compassion

awaken – awaken – awaken

too long too many asleep

too long truth has been hidden

too long Father and Son

forgotten in our slumbering

the deep sleep to pass

needing now to awaken alive!

as a small child to grow

curious to religion

reading the Holy Bible

finding questions

none able to answer

told to ask of the Father

directed by those about

reading James 1:5-6

going to the woods

offering up his 1^st prayer

the heavens opened

a vision seen/heard

the Father and the Son

as Prophets of old called

thus was Joseph too

into a world of disbelief

like the Prophets of old

hated, despised, murdered

never-the-less a Prophet

called of the Father/Son

restoring their gospel

once again to this earth

this last dispensation

into the fullness of times

as a small child

born this day in 1805!

Mosiah 3:19 For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.

 20 And moreover, I say unto you, that the time shall come when the knowledge of a Savior shall spread throughout every nation, kindred, tongue, and people.

 21 And behold, when that time cometh, none shall be found blameless before God, except it be little children, only through repentance and faith on the name of the Lord God Omnipotent.

Held to higher laws than man’s

found in courts of justice/mercy

satan the prosecuting attorney

our Savior our defense attorney

while our salvation hangs alone

based on our obedience to laws

to the Commandments all of them

where will we be found in balance

for none are blameless in mortality

did we listen, hear, feel, understand

or were we without feelings – blind

found in courts on high without excuse

held to higher laws than man’s!

Bound in our small rules

limitations to our borders

within another’s warmth

comes in our blessings

each in time and place

wonderful serving others

now and then one special

sacred and caring for all

you are such a one child

may you forever keep alive

the spirit of warm sharing

loving as your Father

has so loved each of us

with his blessings sacred!

Carefully cultivating the fields

row by row one at a time done

placing seeds as appropriate

watering – weeding – pruning

toiling night and day tirelessly

caring as the gardener assigned

calling each to prayer on time

preparing for the Sabbath Day

extra water – care given before

are we so for the Sabbath

prepared and all work aside

planting seeds of righteousness

carefully cultivating the fields?

Heavy deafening hammering

slowly drumming into my space

weighing me down into depths

deadening the outside shields

lead plates and steel trimming

ponderous thinking of this day

so many crying for more/more

so many expecting everything

so many demanding another’s

so many weak willed parasites

invasive and cankerous vectors

pretending to be deceptive

as guile emanates about them

clouding the space with poison

demanding my time for them

while giving nothing in return

slowly killing destroying my space

heavy deafening hammering!

none to be neglected by any

thus ignorance is no excuse

and the reading of Isaiah

not just to read or review

but so much more required

one pours out their heart

calling all inner resources

in communication this hour

comprehending relationship

between the Father and each

whereupon able to speak

while thus the same to testify

sharing the most precious

a knowledge of the Savior

that He lives and knows us

wanting us to be with Him

eternally and forever

with the Father as He are!

What am I watching

asked often frequently

sometimes in a daydream

sometimes in my dreams

always the same answer

in what I visualize there

directly in front of my eyes

be it from the past or present

sometimes from the future

everything since infancy

impending nano-seconds

already just passed by

the mind a massive video

never forgetting or erasing

seen it once then always

sometimes quickly rerun

others time delays long

asked often frequently

what my eyes are seeing!
