“Something New to Do!”

Birth of a New Tradition

As the holidays approach, the giant Asian factories are kicking into high
gear to provide Americans with monstrous piles of cheaply produced goods --
merchandise that has been produced at the expense of American labor.

This year will be different. This year Americans will give the gift of
genuine concern for other Americans. There is no longer an excuse that, at
gift giving time, nothing can be found that is produced by American hands.
Oh.... Yes there is! It is time to think outside the box, people. Who says a
gift needs to fit in a shirt box, wrapped in Chinese produced wrapping
paper?

Everyone -- yes EVERYONE gets their hair cut. How about gift certificates
from your local American hair salon or barber?

Gym membership? It's appropriate for all ages who are thinking about some
health improvement.

Who wouldn't appreciate getting their car detailed? Small, American owned
detail shops and car washes would love to sell you a gift certificate or a
book of gift certificates.

Are you one of those extravagant givers who think nothing of plunking down
the Benjamins on a Chinese-made flat-screen TV? Perhaps that grateful gift
receiver would like his driveway sealed, or lawn mowed for the summer, or
driveway plowed all winter, or games at the local golf course.

There are a gazillion owner-run restaurants -- all offering gift
certificates. And, if your intended isn't the fancy eatery sort, what about
a half dozen breakfasts at the local breakfast joint.

Remember, folks this isn't about big National chains -- this is about
supporting your home town Americans with their financial lives on the line
to keep their doors open.

How many people couldn't use an oil change for their car, truck or
motorcycle, done at a shop run by the American working guy?

Thinking about a heartfelt gift for mom? Mom would LOVE the services of a
local cleaning lady for a day.

My computer could use a tune-up, and I KNOW I can find some young guy who is
struggling to get his repair business up and running.

OK, you were looking for something more personal. Local crafts people spin
their own wool and knit them into scarves. They make jewelry, and pottery
and beautiful wooden boxes.

Plan your holiday outings at local, owner operated restaurants and leave
your server a nice tip.

And, how about going out to see a play or ballet at your hometown theatre.
Musicians need love too, so find a venue showcasing local bands.

Honestly people, do you REALLY need to buy another ten thousand Chinese
lights for the house? When you buy a five dollar string of light, about
fifty cents stays in the community.

If you have those kinds of bucks to burn, leave the mailman, trash guy or
babysitter a nice BIG tip.

You see, Christmas is no longer about draining American pockets so that
China can build another glittering city. Christmas is now about caring about
US (We the People), encouraging American small businesses to keep plugging
away to follow their dreams. And, when we care about other Americans, we
care about our communities, and the benefits come back to us in ways we
could not imagine.

THIS is the new American Christmas tradition!!

We can make a difference. Can't we?

While pondering your turkey
maybe ham with the makings
or whatever special meal today
consider the upcoming month
with something new to do all
think of our nation and freedom
while many around the world
hate, ridicule, demean, insult
of those who serve our nation
of those who cannot be home
forget the dirty politicians known
forget those who care only of self
determine to help America today
maybe to buy fewer gifts now
(only because harder to find)
those made in America to buy
ignoring the advertising schemes
thus over your Thanksgiving meal
ponder how to help America today!

When one listens to the MSM
or even the liberal left insiders
always the same sounds emit
how bad things are with freedom
better to have the government
large and overbearing for all
no power to the people allowed
just in the hands of the few
the rich, the wicked, the evil
all needs will be met for all
sharing of the wealth maybe
their dystopia is our misery
God’s law totally abandoned
listening to those full of greed
what the MSM spew upon us!

Weather vanes direction
whither the wind blows
pointing waveringly today
as in many lives so found
confused and wandering
first to go here then there
seeking unknowingly what
without orientation skills
playing games or worse
panhandling their minds
selling to the lowest bid
whither the wind blows
changing their direction!

Lost and all alone
traffic all around
predators overhead
just a little fur ball
whimpering so little
only one pound
three weeks old
no teeth or a growl
just wondering why
somehow left behind
till hands embraced
lifting me up to see
a kitten or a puppy
this small ball of fur
resembling a teddy-bear
knowing a home found
orphaned no longer
cared for and loved
loyalty and protection
now six years old
caring for and loving
loyally protecting
name’s Teddy-Bear
don’t let that fool you
now 40lbs solid found
as my home’s safe
protected by me
Father’s plan to be
her finding me
together to be!

Pleasant smiles to deceive
rushes of important proofs
pounding backs and laughs
ignoring questions of most
picking and choosing lies
wrapped in apparent ghosts
demeaning any who oppose
then even greater smiles
this the ways of guile seen
many willing to believe
accepting the role of sheep
led to the sheerer blindly
forcing lies to become truths
deception becoming reality!

Every day to find near
straw and clay awaiting
water nearby for our use
more in how we apply
for the ingredients there
each person has the same
while some quickly work
others shun and play
thus the Sabbath Day
where everyone to hear
construction of your soul
repent and return again
coming to Father’s will
making the bricks eternal
of your forever home
or to idly stray away
from this mortal day
with feet of only clay!

Casting aside the night
opening windows of light
enticing nature to awaken
while the nocturnal sleep
magical moments so deep
my breath often is taken
transformations of delight
partaking a glorious sight!

Reach into the outer limits
seeking to remember once
heavenly hosts discerning
hearing great wisdom taught
finding memories once lost
visualize before coming here
in the presence of Father
making covenants eternal
understanding deep within
knowing now a stranger
when striving to be good
thus we’ve to remember
from where we came
again to know why here
reaching into outer limits!

Regardless of the level
the intent still the same
lie and get away with it
take from another in guile
pretending to be one thing
while all the time another;

Whether a sister/brother
or a friend the evil bring
deception always a smile
spitting out trust as a pit
a lie by any other name
in obedience to the devil!

Tapping on the window sill
seeking entry into your space
special delivery morning arrival
but a moment then in a flash
first in darkness then brightness
a whole different environment
quickly bathed and wrapped
then cuddled (the best part)
nourishment next to occur
wondering why all this fuss
calling me 'Tyrion Sebastian'
thinking a surprise to me
the late news missed this
my early morning arrival
into your space now mine
no longer window tapping!
