"Forgetfulness"

cji

4/16/18

Getting old is not great

holding grandchildren

taking naps more often

laziness never known

forgetfulness there too

sometimes posting nothing

others forgetting titles

getting old fun and tired!

"Interactions"

“Interactions”

cji

4/14/18

My mind in craziness alive

worms crawling all about

distractions multiplying

people pushing agendas

rhetorically presenting lies

pretending at truths lost

including others unwanted

making associations wrong

interactions with cowards

undeserved falsehoods

leaving my mind tangled

entwined with their worms!

"Friday the 13th"

“Friday the 13^th”

cji

4/13/18

Man/woman seeking always

looking for a scape goat

needing to pass the blame

blue moons – full moons

black cats and ladders

justifying lack of planning

ill-tempers and moodiness

never accepting blame

their excuses to float

hiding in the bad haze;

Friday the 13^th on top

more of them to guess

abuses thus to press

within human slop!

"Entering Into Lava"

“Entering Into Lava”

cji

4/12/18

Extremely dangerous risks

feeling the pulse of lava

closer and closer to edge

feeling the heat growing

till felt alive and glowing

searing the broken hedge

within entering into lava

blistered lips thus kissed!

"Ages and Generations"

“Ages and Generations”

cji

4/11/18

Ages to generations passed

parents to their children

warriors passing the codes

honor, valor, truth, purity

onward ever onward to win

preserving against all odds

freedom, values, obedience

ages and generations known

associated the thoughts heavy

remember to the love/caring

hardships sharing with all

nightmares and dreams

home, family, history, future

butterflies in the camp

heat of the battle fields

ages to generations passed!

"Within Coping"

“Within Coping”

cji

4/11/18

Legs broken heart the same

mind lagging behind thoughts

hearing shouting – screams

so often nothing in control

fighting within my soul

reliving over my dreams

within coping my thoughts

nameless without a name!

"Ink Spots"

“Ink Spots”

cji

4/10/18

Leaking pens in pockets

stains of various colors

boredom in meetings

tapping paper in dots

emerging ink spots

taking serious this muse

finding rhythm awake

a dot here splotch there

stains from leaking ink

allowing imagination

running loose this day

white shirts ruined

selling now on ebay!

"Be Persuaded"

“Be Persuaded”

cji

4/9/18

Faith, hope, charity

understanding of love

in obedience is found

where nothing can harm

in sparks of alarm

Father’s love is bound

covenants from above

pure scriptures clarity!

Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

"Within"

“Within”

cji

4/8/18

There’s a battle going on

the prize is your/my soul

pretending about warfare

types of governments

rich, poor, wealthy, greedy

casting one against others

within it all this stage play

this battle for the soul

each Sabbath day counts

hypocrites and honesty

choices/agency or none

within the minds of men

women and youth alike

wars pretended all alike

those on the Lord’s side

obedient fully in all things

seeing clearly the unseen

wherefore of the battles

within the minds for souls!

"Pumpkin Patch Planting"

“Pumpkin Patch Planting”

cji

4/7/18

Halloween is a bit off yet

but pumpkin’s need time

finding the right field

cultivating to soil rich

planning the last frost

so much to consider

each seed in the soil

carefully with smiles

knowing my friend Linus

likes a nice pumpkin patch

taking this quite serious

pumpkin patch planting!

"Tis True"

“Tis True (2)”

cji

4/6/18

Born and awakened

date of consequence

April 6^th remembered

recorded within all

first as a child to call

our Lord remembered

giving new ordinance

born and awakened;

Tis true study it out

there is no doubt

hear heavens shout

there is no doubt!

"By Sevens"

“By Sevens”

cji

4/5/18

Loading the Ark done

of the unclean only two

male and female taken

however of the clean

by sevens were taken

male and females each

leaving six after landing

having taken two

male and female offered

a sacrifice unto God

separating to the world

replenishing for all

unloading the Ark

reminding us all

cost paid by the evil

allowing us today choices

never again to load the Ark!

"Sarah's Day"

“Sarah’s Day”

cji

4/5/18

Does is seem so near

becoming a family

eternally as a one

you were born this day

so short a time ago

within yet our eternity

a daughter pure clear

know we love you

Happy Birthday

shared with an uncle

which is why we know

families are eternal!

"Birthday #1" (Charlie)

“Birthday #1”

(Charlie)

cji

4/5/18

Having a twin brother

can be ultra-awesome

especially with differences

his birthday is in April

mine is in December

never seemed to bother

able to share each as one

thus Charlie today is yours

but you do have to share

for your niece is today

our daughter-in-law

families able to share

much love and caring

Happy Birthday

my older twin brother!

(Charlie and I tried

to enlist for the border

they told us a mite

old weren't sure of

uniform - hnl - c)

"Born an Alligator"

“Born an Alligator”

cji

4/4/18

No question about it none at all

born an alligator to die one too

37 million years been around

never became a turtle or fish

ate a lot of humans but no

still an alligator no changes

my brain is there somewhere

nothing like a human one

but at least I know for sure

my design in this life known

being a gator okay for me

either I’m male or female

can’t be both cannot change

born an alligator that’s it

when my egg breaks so it is

baby gator or large gator

no question about it none at all!

"Dusting Toes"

“Dusting Toes”

cji

4/03/18

Visited a nursery other day

very unusual to observe

quickly moving crib to crib

dusting toes lightly to coos

over and over not too much

just the right amount to do

soon the whole room cooing

then again soundly to sleep

wondering the why of this

explained started years ago

seeing little toes lined up

just the lightest touch

since it was dark about

didn’t want to scare babies

so while humming dusting

letting them know it was I

each seemed to love it

even knowing when late

little toes dusted gentle

chasing away dust mites

inviting in sleep gently!
