“Serving Others”

How often giving up time

going forth to slammed doors

hearing jeers and protests

while all the time in service

leaving the comfort of home

dating, movies, even school

to bring forth a message

about our Lord and Savior

house to house going daily

weather causing no delay

long days started with prayer

ending each with grateful prayer

serving others to return to Father

Sister Grant going home again

Sister Kendricks remaining

can we understand sacrifice

not asking for anything

bringing a message to each

of the Restoration of Church

the Saviors Church on Earth

once more as in the past

when the Savior walked

Prophet’s, Apostles, Gospel

Revelations and to repent

Sister’s we love you each

throughout the world all

and the Elders as well

elder couples and seniors

serving other freely

out of love of our Lord!

This is the Sabbath Day

there’s a clarion call

going out to each person

for salvation come to one

then from them to family

and from family to others

yet first the call to one

calling each individually

can you hear your voice

can you feel the Spirit

Father’s calling to you

today his day alone

are you part of it

if not then why not

as he loves you

giving his Son for us

to come unto him!

Difficult to believe just yesterday

held her in the palm of my hand

she with her tubes mixed with mine

sang to her ‘Child of God’ quietly

then an Irish lullaby bit off key

she’d come early able to meet me

her friend born the day before

now she’s 14 years old today

watching her grow and play

how much more is in store

the whole world able to see

an athlete and loveliness to be

her movement deftly and quietly

high mountains able to climb

she’s now able to hold my hand

Corinne’s 14 seems just today!

Each moment of every day

there’s a smile to be found

once found then to be shared

passing around with everyone

(while the worldly ignores all)

however we’re to be lifting up

making others feel better/happy

knowing of trials and tribulations

each have to face daily in life

we need to seek others out

helping them know they’re loved

sharing hugs and a warmth

coming from within our Spirit

transcending into theirs today

lifting up now needed most!
