Sub-committees convening today

congress beguiling the nation

endless meetings and discussions

pretending to be hard at working

stealing money from the real workers

while endlessly jabberwockying

hidden agendas and pork to post

ignoring the Constitution and laws

emulating the liberal left and MSM

sanctifying the POTUS in extreme

unhearing the nations rumble

passing gas and indulging sin

translucent government at play!

“Mala Fide”

Taking our nation as suckers

mentally deficiently so raised

designed to fail miserably

casting fate to the evil winds;

The government in mala fide

treating all as infidels ugly

trashing the streets in blood

worshiping devastation’s lust!

Unavailable common sense

bright lights substituted instead

loud music and noise insane

creating illusions of substance

hiding true intent in the abstract

generally beguiling or scheming

nomothetic correctness absurd

an emperor with no clothes new

hiding and fooling and ignoring

any who refute the quality seen!

High mountains to climb today

or even swift rivers to cross

sheer cliffs wanting to descend

oceans to swim and to sail

much wanting to accomplish

life’s pursuit to understand

reading to find knowledge

remembering much to learn

high mountains to climb today!

“Moments to Share”

Passing secrets as little children

whispering in loud tones to hear

pretending grownups to be

so many wonderful things to see

within moments to share again

never knowing where to begin

our past cloudy yet quite clear

pretending now as little children!

“Pleasing Kisses”

Pleasing kisses heard today

nature in the winds above

tree limbs rubbing rustling

waves lapping on the shore

raindrops on the leaf’s felt

all around nature’s embrace

sharing with one another

pleasing kisses known today!

“Caterpillars”

A Sabbath Day to be thankful

for all the little things in life

remembering of the children

much younger and scientists

adding regularly to collections

but one was the most creative;

Some might say even inventive

remembered long recollections

making and assigning to do lists

everyday each of our children

amid the hassles of daily strife

those days over and grateful;

Each laundry day being found

emptying pockets for the boys

pulling them inside out to see

what might be trapped inside;

One had something to hide

trepidation for my hands to see

wasn’t a snake or any toys

caterpillars squishing around;

The memory last until this day

thus on the Sabbath thankful

the privilege of raising kids

knowing of grandkids today;

Glad their parents now to pray

my turn to grease the skids

I’m ever found so grateful

caterpillars with them to play!

Carrying forth Father’s banner

understanding right from wrong

singing hymns for His praise

our voices united we do raise

uplifting everyone in song

sacred and holy in our manner;

The Sabbath of the Lord today

kept holy for the whole day

taking time for each to pray

Zion’s course then to stay

we rest quietly without play

the Sabbath of the Lord today!

“Treasured Memories”

Drive safely my children

oft repeated by me then

even today with each

when parting or to bed

‘drive safely’ is said;

No manual to be read

a simple wisdom bred

my experiences to teach

treasured memories to pen

of the temptations hidden!

“Subjecting My Will”

Really no choices to be made

decided long ago to give away

being obedient far easier found

when giving back finding more

agency is grandest to realize

when unlimited in trust given

subjecting my will to the Father

making decisions ahead of time

Zion’s road to travel even alone

yet know the Son is by my side

comforted by family now and then

generations linked in the Temple

for in subjecting my will to His

understanding unrestricted within!

“Stillness of the Day”

Holding forth to listen carefully

missing the chaotic noise about

transplanting mind and soul

different spheres in to dwell

integrity found intact and sure

anointing with the oil ever pure

feelings within a heart to swell

accepting all truth and its toll

stillness of the day to shout

holding forth to listen carefully!

Embraces within a family

bound in the eternities to be

forever understanding life

meanings and tribulations

knowing of the right to do

teaching each their roles

toiling in the sun and heat

as the ethic of work taught

virtue and honest and truth

living within the purity sought

of the Father and the Son!

“Gone Away Somewhere”

Restive and needing to go

Feeling the emotions flow;

Traversing all time and matter

My responsibilities thus scatter;

Gone away somewhere again

Life’s journey anew to begin;

Smelling flowers along the way

Passing through childhood today;

Not very far yet just not here

Entering serenity pure and clear!
