WHEN I WAS YOUNG

AND I LOVED TO LAUGH

AND THEN COULD CRY

AND BE ANYONE

OR BE ANYTHING

HOWEVER SMALL

HOWEVER LARGE

UNDERSTOOD

OR MIS UNDERSTOOD

WHEN THEIR WERE NO DECISIONS

AND NEVER A CARE

WHEN SO LONG AGO

WHEN I WAS YOUNG

AND LIFE WAS FUN

And now this time

gone and forever done

unless I grasp the ring

holding tight to good

forgetting the past

so long ago

when I was young!
