"Thou Shalt Not or Do"

Exodus 23

 1 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

 2 ¶Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

 8 ¶And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

How often men/women bemoan

Commandments do’s and don’ts

while ignoring the reasons why

missing entirely their mortality

and why not should they do

marriage only until death part

(only temporary and fixed)

whereas Prophets have taught

(for time and all eternity)

religions teaching contention

preaching and teaching laxness

forgetting most importantly

obedience to the few to start

then covenants to make all

for one to do right always

to become like the Savior

and thus as his Father too

Commandments do’s and don’ts

leading and showing the way

making the worldly to groan!
